Caseworker Training
We run a series of Health Casework training sessions every quarter, where we offer an opportunity for MPs and their Caseworkers to learn how to get the most out of the complaints system.
We also offer an open surgery where we allow MPs and Caseworkers to present us with ongoing cases that they have been dealing with and offer advice on their best course of action.
Awareness Building
We currently host two stalls every month, in hospitals, to help us build stronger relationships with our key stakeholders. Stands are being held all across the country, raising awareness with the publice and healthcare professionals alike.
Working with other charities
The Helpline is keen to keep other charities aware of the work that we do and as such we write a quarterly update e-mail to all those on our database. This, not only, describes what we've been up to, it also informs of any issues that are being highlighted by the Helpline and encourages them to refer people to our organisation where appropriate.
Expanding the service
The Helpline is continually meeting with Overview and Scrutiny Committees from local authorities, Citizens Advice Bureaux and Trade Unions to investigate ways in which the PA can provide a service to these bodies, based on the trends we hear on the Helpline.
Quality Standards
The Helpline is always striving to provide the best possible service that we can, as a result of this we are currently applying for two quality standard marks.
